Charlottesville Divorce Lawyer: Come Join Me On Valentine’s Day for “Get Married Free and Renew Your Vows Day!”

I am pleased to announce that I will be holding the inaugural “Get Married Free and Renew Your Vows Day” on Valentine’s Day,Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Shenandoah Joe’s on Preston Avenue and from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at my offices located at 154 Hansen Road, Suite 202B in the Hansen Road Professional Center.

As a divorce attorney, I meet my clients at the end of their marriages. By then, all of the hopes and dreams they shared with their spouses at the beginning of the marriage are just a bitter memory.  My clients are obviously distressed and my heart always goes out to them.  By the time they see me, it is hard to save the marriage.  There are strategies that can reverse the course of things, but they are not always successful.  As I grew more familiar with my clients’ cases, it was easy to see in retrospect what might have been done to save the marriage so I began accumulating these lessons to share with others in an attempt to prevent divorce.  Now I am always thinking of ways to help others before they ever see me for legal advice. 

So I devised this event as a way to give couples a special memory on a special day that they can look back on fondly during the inevitable rough patches in their marriages. If a memory of this event causes someone to think a little longer and a little harder before seeking a divorce then I think I will have really
accomplished something.

This event is free.  Couples interested in marrying should bring their marriage license and I will reimburse them for the cost of the license and I will provide and pay for the marriage officiant.  Couples interested in marrying are also asked to call to let us know they are coming.  Couples interested in renewing their vows do not have to have a marriage license.  Every couple that comes by will receive some special tokens of appreciation and memories to last a lifetime.
