Great Relationship With Children Post-Divorce Does Not Result in Custody Change

In the case of Porzel v. Porzel, the Fairfax Circuit Court ruled that a dad, who was not the primary caregiver of his children, but who was a parent whose relationship with his children grew for the better after the divorce, could not win custody of the children where his plans for the care of the children before and after school called for the children to be taken care of by an older sister instead of by their mother.
